According to section 44 of the Yukon Workers' Safety and Compensation Act, "an employer must establish and maintain a written health and safety management system (HSMS) when 20 or more workers of the employer are regularly employed." This HSMS must include, "procedures for the identification of existing and potential hazards to workers or other persons at or near the workplace and measures that will be taken to eliminate or control those hazards" and "procedures for investigating incidents, injuries and deaths."
