The Yukon Water Data Explorer allows users to browse maps, create plots, and download data from hydrological and meteorological observations and continuous recordings as well as water quality samples from sites throughout Yukon, in real time.
Methodology
This application shows data in real time and centralizes data from many providers, including the Yukon Department of Environment, the Water Survey of Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and local First Nation partners. For stations reporting via telemetry (e.g. reporting water level + flow, air temperature, wind speed) new data is ingested every 15 minutes. Laboratory measurements, direct observations (e.g. snow survey results), or non-telemetry logger data are uploaded when available.
