Conservation Officer Services regulates hunting in the Yukon. All Yukon hunters born after April 1, 1987 must complete hunter education training and pass an exam prior to obtaining a hunting licence to ensure they have specific hunter safety related competencies. This free course will help hunters improve their hunting skills. Topics include: how to be a responsible and ethical hunter, hunting laws and regulations, wildlife management, how to prepare for the outdoors, how to identify wildlife, field techniques and firearm safety. Hunters must complete the online part of this course and then use a completion number so sign up for an in person classroom session.
