Emergency Medical Services (EMS) procured an emergency medical dispatch solution, known as Bell Computer-Aided Dispatch or Bell CAD. Bell CAD is the foundational product in a family of technologies specifically designed to meet local, regional, and national emergency response requirements. These technologies include in-vehicle and hand-held wireless applications, a system configuration tool, reporting/analysis solutions, and the Advanced Communications Server (ACS) which provides message switching and access to wireless networks.
By automating and integrating key elements of emergency response, Bell CAD allows efficient delivery of service to meet demanding public safety requirements. Bell CAD also aims to enhance the efficiency and capacity of dispatch centers to accept calls for service from the public and dispatch resources in response.
